7th Grade Students Visit CCNY
January 10, 2019
Community Action School is a proud participant in the College Access for All program, which gives middle school students the opportunity to become familiar with colleges and universities throughout the school year. This program includes a College Awareness Week (January 7-11), during which students research and study colleges that are relevant to them based on interest, location or a personal connection to the school. In addition, the College Access for All program gives students the opportunity to visit a college campus during their 7th grade year.  On January 10th, the 7th grade took a trip to The City College of New York. Students toured the campus and enjoyed college life for a day. They were impressed by the magnificent library, sports complex and computer lab. Ever since the trip, students have been discussing their experience at City College and asking thoughtful questions. Talking about colleges has become part of the everyday discussion at CAS!
